A cogent evidence of sprightliness!

July 24, 2011

1)According to Richard M. Sherman, co-writer of the song “X” with his sibling, Robert, the word “X” was created by them in a fortnight, mostly out of double-talk.

The etyma of “X” have been defined as follows:

_____- “above”,_____- “beauty”,________- “delicate”, _____-“to atone”, and ______- “educable”, with the sum of these parts signifying roughly “Atoning for educability through delicate beauty.”Whilst X bears recognizable English morphemes, it does not abide by the conventions of English morphology as a whole. The morpheme -istic is a suffix in English, whereas the morpheme ex- is typically a prefix; so following normal English morphological rules, it would represent two words:
__________A_______ and ______B_______. The pronunciation also leans towards it being two words since, the letter c doesn’t normally sound like a k when followed by an e, an i or a y.
According to the film, it is defined as “something to say when you have nothing to say”.ID X=A+B.

2)The astronomer Tycho Brahe observed SN 1572 in the constellation Cassiopeia, and described it in his book de stella _____ (Latin for “concerning the new star”), giving rise to the name ____. In this work he argued that a nearby object should be seen to move relative to the fixed stars, and that the _____ had to be very far away. Though this was a “X” and not a classical ____, the terms were considered interchangeable until the 1930s.ID X and FITB.

3)The story goes that the city of “X” (population 330,000) in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia does not actually exist. On the contrary, its beingness is merely propagated by an entity known only as SIE (THEY or THEM), which has conspired with authorities to create the semblance of the city’s existence.
The theory posits three questions:
Do you know anybody from “X”?
Have you ever been to “X”?
Do you know anybody who has ever been to “X”?
A bulk are gestated to answer ‘no’ to all three queries; if they don’t, they, or the person they know, are said to be simply part of the cabal.
The origins of and reasons for this conspiracy are unknown. Speculated originators jokingly include the CIA, Mossad or aliens who use the “X” University as a disguise for their spaceship.ID X.

4)_____________________________________ is an old proverb, credited to Publius Syrus, who in his Sententiae states, individuals who are incessantly moving, with no roots in one place, avoid obligations and cares. As such, the adage is often interpreted as referring to figurative nomads who avoid taking on responsibilities or cultivating or advancing their own knowledge, experience, or culture.FITB.
