Under the sun

April 26, 2011

A set of questions on random topics. Thanks to Qrish’s eternal persistence I’m back to blogging. Here’s for him

1. The X is a kind of hat popularised by Y. Usually it is used in the rural parts of Britain during hunting of deer.

The deerstalker’s main feature is a pair of fore and aft brims and two flexible side flaps. The dual brims provide sun protection for the face and neck of the wearer. The side flaps can be worn down or tied under the chin to protect the ears in cold weather and high winds, or tied up above the crown to keep them out of the way when not in use.

Due to the use by Y it is often stereotypical of a detective. Id X and Y.

2. Shown here is the Artemesia Vulgaris. It is called mugwort commonly and is native to temperate Europe, Asia, northern Africa and Alaska and is naturalized in North America, where some consider it an invasive weed. It is a very common plant growing on nitrogenous soils, like weedy and uncultivated areas, such as waste places and roadsides.

In Eastern Europe its called Chorno-bylink. Now the question, what other reasons apart from it being a weed,do Eastern Europeans have to despise this plant?? or jus put fundae.

3. Y is a company based in Espoo Finland. Started by three students, Niklas Hed ,Jarno Vakevainen and Kim Dekart after winning a game-development competition by Nokia. Their game King of Cabbage was the first commercial real-time multiplayer mobile game in the world.

Id Y and their most famous product.

4. Funnily enough, the US patent office does not demand the production of a working model of any device for a patent to be awarded. Enough theoretical exposition would suffice. But, for one class of devices they still insist on seeing working models. What devices??

5. Why’s this book in news??
