after poppy gobbled up my whole set in one go,i’m back with another set.!here goes:

1)

With 3,000 Rupees (1895: 18,000 US$) from X’s dad’s friend, X began manufacturing “scalpels, forceps, pincers, scissors and the other implements of a surgeon’s trade.” When X was satisfied that the product fulfilled the necessary specifications, X asked for a meeting with the proprietor of the company he worked for, who, when they met, profoundly congratulated X on X’s accomplishment. But when X insisted that the product be stamped “Made in India”, the proprietor rebuked X: “you may be a first-class machinist, but we are discussing marketing here. Please don’t misunderstand. I have high regard for your country. Now had this been, say, an Indian antique, I’d have said by all means blazon it in bold type as ‘Made in India’. But surgical instruments, no way!” Both sides were intractable, and the venture died.

who’s X?

2)where do we see this in our present time?

3)D J Sanghvi College of Engineering was established in 1994. It was named after Shri Dwarkadas Jivanlal Sanghvi — the pioneer of the pen industry in India. Born in Rajula, Gujarat on September 17, 1913, Dwarkadas was an enterprising, hard worker who traveled to Rangoon, Calcutta and eventually settled down in Bombay, where he founded Balkrishna Pens Private Limited and introduced the very famous brand of fountain pens – X. In fact, the Constitution of India was written by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar with a pen of this brand.

so id X.

4)who found the following first?

5)direct question:id the man near the tv, with funda!

this is just part 1 of this set,the set will be completed tomorrow, please be patient:)

3.Wilson.The Only Guaranteed Fountain Pen 🙂
4.This is the Brahmagupta-Fibonacci Identity. It was first discovered by Brahmagupta.
5.Brij Kothari of IIM-A & Planet Read. This is the SLS or Same Language Subtitling, where they use the same language of the existing program as subtitles for a popular television programme. This concept helps people to become fluent readers.Like Bill says,A small thing that has a
    staggering impact on people’s lives.

What kinda of a conspiracy is this ?..Come on..I am a very average quizzer & you want to set something tough for me?..Dude,This is Poppy & not Aqua,to answer all blinders.

@Aqua..You remember?..I told you long back about the preparation as a quizzer & a quiz master..So this is just the basics..you know start from your own, like anything about India & then move outside..The whole workout as per my plan would take 3 years & i am 10% done..Had it been anything else,I might have not got it.On any other day I would have even missed this.

Luckily I had covered, few of these topics..But surely @ the end of three years work out..I can be what you just said..Amazing..So..The credit to those two answers should go to my work out..

SLS was in the news around 2008..& was reading about Mumbai & hit on Bhau Daji Lad..

@ Qrish..Those two answers are correct??..I remember reading both…I was pretty sure it was Brahmagupta.Euler derived a similar equation but this equation is Brahmagupta-Fibonacci Identity.

Ofcourse you’re doin gr8 in your steps towards your goal man!but the thing is that, like any quizmaster or atleast a person who sets questions,it’s really frustrating when the questions are smashed left right and back without a second glance and that too correctly:)other than that,i’ve got nothing against you.cheers!rock on:)btw, you missed qfi open today @ chennai.try to make it from next time:)

Thank you buddy..Yours truly completely agrees..You prepare questions with a lot of effort & every single question gets answered..I know, its so frustrating..Its like being a Batsman & a Bowler..No matter, how good a bowler you are, seven times out of ten,the batsman steals the show.

Yeah,I very badly wanted to be there..Even a team mate was not a prob, like I normally do,I could have easily participated as a lone wolf..I was a lil busy on that day..Had to go hosp to meet a relative..Next year will try to give a shot.

Btw..I have quizzed with Aqua,Varsity,Mama..Never have I done that with you..May be sometime we should do that..What says you?

Buck up?…Come on…I am not that great a quizzer..I need to work a lot more than you have to..Surely will though..Cheers 🙂
